Faith Is Simple Not Complicated By Elaine Davenport December, 2012
Lots of people panic when a problem arises…they sort of say: “I never exppected this to happen.” Well, the truth is …things are going to happen…but help is available. Our faith journey is a journey that we must take for victory.
Faith has a supernatural component. When there’s a problem, we are assured of a solution by our faith. Faith is an experience of a sure heart. That heart knows God and that He is the Master of all! Faith says here God I am and I need You to step in and take this and I believe right now it’s done…no doubt about it. It’s not a complicated math problem. Ask God to show you how to increase your faith for that day when you will need it or to help some others.
________________________________________________________________________
Faith is a wonderful thing for those who understand it. And let me tell you that it has been understood for hundreds of years. The word “faith” appears in the bible 3, 215 times in the King James Bible. It is the very fiber of our core; that is for believers. God says it’s very simple, he says every man has been given faith.
Even non believers have faith in things or in people; until proven otherwise. But, as believers our daily instructions, wisdom, solutions and strength are all found in the bible. We have faith in God and His promises. Every scripture is truth. The bible contains so many promises and I am not certain just how many they are; I just know they are powerful and all true!
Every scripture in the bible is true. We are not reading one of Shakespeare’s novels; full of fiction and imaginations. It’s not the same. It is not a dead book.
We were promised a Savior; and He came. Even before Jesus went to the cross, He told us. And that could have been the end of it. But, it wasn’t. He empowered us, told how to pray and left us the Holy Spirit to comfort and help us. We are not powerless…because every single word in the bible is true.
We have the Word of God…it’s powerful, we just have to have an expectant hard! Be assured…every scripture is true.
So the next time, you hear a voice that tells you that things are bad…pull out your bible and look for some faith scriptures. Here are a few that will help you.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
2 Corinthians 5:6-7 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Ephesians 6:16 (KJV) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Jesus Speaking)
Now, this is a scripture that will really help you:
Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Jesus Speaking)
Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak. 2 Corinthians 4: 13

How America Struggled With Thanksgiving! November, 2011
It’s amazing…Thanksgiving! We all thought that it had been in place since the pilgrims. Well, that just isn’t true. You see, though the pilgrims did give thanks and have a feast and so forth; many colonists were not in agreement that it should be a “National holiday.” There was a magazine editor by the name of Sara Hale who embarked on a one woman campaign to make it a National holiday. Abraham Lincoln agreed with her and almost one hundred years after the country was founded; Thanksgiving was made a National holiday.
Those days are gone…
I wish that I could tell you when masses of people began to recognize it not only as a National holiday and a spiritual holiday…but even I cannot assure you of that even today. I just know that people all across the country recognize that it is not only a day to eat; but a day to give Thanks to God for who He is and what He has done! Our prayer is that on that day; you will find a way to not only give thanks but to make a difference in the world around you. Be Blessed!

The Oil Of The Holy Spirit! by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012
THE DOCTOR SAID HE THOUGHT I HAD A BRAIN TUMOR! There are so many different types…most will mightily alter your life or end it.
I really did not know that much about Psalm 23 at the time. I had only said it at funerals. But, they had stuck me in this capsule while they were on their search and destroy/rescue mission. Well, I was fighting the voices telling me not to have the surgery and the fact that I did not like being in that capsule. All of a sudden I start chanting Psalm 23. A great peace came over me.
They found a tumor…I had a stroke in the surgery…my recovery should have never come…but it did..but God wasn’t through yet…
Psalm 23 helped to change the course of my life. When I read it; Iget strength and have courage and I receive great comfort!
I love the part that says He maketh me to lie in front of my enemies, He anoints my head with oil, my cup runneth over…surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…
I take that to say that when I face my enemies…the Holy Spirit is covering me and there is no reason whatsoever for me to be afraid. God sees things long before they happen and though it is new to us…God has already prepared. So stand in faith and get before Him for your instructions on what to do. So many people miss this all the time…they have religion. Yet, they do not have the understanding. Please read carefully below how God anoints His sheep with the Holy Spirit.
Psalm of David. PSALM 23 (Amplified Bible)
1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.
4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.
- Psalm 23:5 It is difficult for those living in a temperate climate to appreciate, but it was customary in hot climates to anoint the body with oil to protect it from excessive perspiration. When mixed with perfume, the oil imparted a delightfully refreshing and invigorating sensation. Athletes anointed their bodies as a matter of course before running a race. As the body, therefore, anointed with oil was refreshed, invigorated, and better fitted for action, so the Lord would anoint His “sheep” with the Holy Spirit, Whom oil symbolizes, to fit them to engage more freely in His service and run in the way He directs—in heavenly fellowship with Him. Needing God’s Justice! by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012
Everyday I hear stories or receive prayers from everyday people like you and I who face unfairness and injustice. Crazy, stupid, way out stuff. Sometimes it happens to me…sometimes it looks impossible. It usually involes some John 10: 10.
John 10:10
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
The thief…Satan…is always behind the dumb stuff. In that case, we do not need a pity party, we need to get before God and pray. Now, I have nothing against asking others to pray for me. I love a Prayer Of Agreement. Yet…there is something immense about getting before God and waiting for the answer to unfold trusting Him. God always has a plan. I heard a minister friend of mine say: “It’s like Chess and God is ALWAYS waiting to put the devil in checkmate.” That’s good. It’s true too.
Let me go get my popcorn because I want to be ready to see the devil get his next whooping!
If you know me…you know I’m not playing!
Leviticus 19:15
‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.
Deuteronomy 16:20
Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 27:19
“Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless or the widow.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
Job 37:23
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
Psalm 33:5
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
Psalm 106:3
Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.
Psalm 140:12
I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.
Proverbs 28:5
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
Proverbs 29:7
The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.
Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
Isaiah 10:1-2
Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.

Why Do You Fret? by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012
There is nothing that I can do to stop you from fretting every time that a problem arises. I wish that I could but I know someone who can. He is God , the head of the Holy Trinity…Father, Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit.
He said in the bible: Romans 10: 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. That means that the more you hear the Word …the more you are going to sharpen, grow, increase, preserve your faith. It’s kind of like exercise…you build yourself up.
Something is going to happen to someone around you…maybe even to you…but your faith will carry you through it. I do not want it to happen; but that’s the kind of world that we live in. We have an enemy that wants to “devour” us. He tries every strategy, trick scheme, crooked plan, wicked surprise that he can…his name is Satan…and if anyone told you that he does not exist…they lied!
So, if you have a situation that seems hopeless…or just isn’t right; know right now…there is hope. Dig out your bible, open it and read it and afterwards get on your knees. You will be led to Wisdom. Grace and Peace. Now your job is NOT to resist any of this because your flesh keeps looking at the circumstances. In the meantime, get strong , do not fret…(that won’t help) , receive the Father’s love and let’s move this enemy out of the way! I love you and I will be praying for you! Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
(NKJV)
Joshua 1:3-9
I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you … No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.
Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
(NLT)
1 Chronicles 28:20
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
(NIV)
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
(NKJV)
Psalm 56:3-4
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
(NIV)
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(NIV)
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
(NIV)
Isaiah 54:4
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
(NKJV)
Matthew 10:26
Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
(NKJV)
Matthew 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
