BE STRONG!…a poem by Elaine Davenport
You have a right to be strong in the Lord with His help, you’ll have no lack!!
You have a right to have God backed power, God’s got everything; especially your back!
You have a right to put on God’s armour from your head to your toes,
to stand up to the devil and his strategies; yes, he is your foe
You have a right to wrestle against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness highly placed,
It’s not flesh and blood; get serious and while you’re at it.. get that look on your face.
You have a right to take your armour and do all to stand against evil … stay on your feet.
Get in position, turn up the heat, you really can’t do it if you stay in your seat.
You have a right to make your free gift of right standing…your very own breastplate!
You have a right to have your feet armed with the gospel of peace,
You have a right to use the shield of faith; which should put you at ease to
snuff out and quench those wicked fiery darts flying towards you,
You have a right to know what to do.
You have a right to put on a Salvation helmet and the Word of God,
Satan can’t ever win with those kind of odds,
You have a right to pray and supplicate in the Spirit for all of the saints,
You have a right to press and push on as you pray and you will dominate!
Now these are your rights. You can read them and say: It’s too late.”
You can jump on them and meet the enemy head on or you can wait until you get whacked…
by Satan or one of his imps..don’t let them take you out with any blow! You’re God backed!
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (Ephesians 6: 10-18)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
