In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4: 4
How many times have you heard the expression: “Satan is busy” ? Well, if you read the newspaper; you’ll know this is true. Hold that thought.
Last year while praying about a scandal that was looming in our region; I felt led that the Lord was going to execute judgment.
Some time went by and the dominoes began to fall. Scandals began to crop up in different places but the one which “seemed” to be the worst was the one in our region. It wasn’t long before we were all (including me) choosing sides and Monday Night
Quarterbacking the unfolding events. I was totally involved.
BUT THEN I HAD TO STOP…
I realized that this was all Spiritual Warfare. It was much bigger than the people involved. You see, no matter what it looks like; “we can’t be blinded.” If it looks rotten, and if it smells and just so completely ridiculous even with seemingly willing and misled parties; it’s Satan. He’s not just waging war on the people involved or the obvious victims. He’s also waging war on communities and groups of people and his ultimate goal is to kill, to steal and to destroy.
These are some of the incidents that I’m talking about; I almost missed it but it is Spiritual Warfare.

DON’T GET OFF TRACK…
****Am I saying that these people won’t pay a price; no I’m not. I have no way of knowing what price they’ll pay. Despite the fact that the media has geared our society to get in everybody else’s business; we as believers can’t lose focus. We are ambassadors for Christ and we can’t lose focus. We are the light in a dark world! We are the calm before and during and after the storm. That’s our charge! I’m simply saying that rulers of darkness are attacking us and it’s time to take authority to bind them. Do we have a right to judge them? No, I say that and that was an answer that was even hard for me. I had done it in my own way and I had to repent. But we are bound by our covenant with God…to forgive, to love, and not to point out the mote that’s in our brother’s eye when their is a beam in our own. So, despite the “temptation” to walk in the flesh; I think I’ll stay in covenant. We have to trust God on these cases. I encourage you all to do the same.
In Ephesians 6 it tells us that it is a war and that our weapons are not earthly. It also tells us that we’re fighting principalities and rulers of darkness. It makes so much sense; the average person won’t get it and even believers have to be reminded. Let us not forget.
Here’s Ephesians 6 on warfare:
Ephesians 6:10-18 (King James Version)
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
I encourage you to mull it over.
