HAPPY THANKSGIVING! THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!! MAKE IT A POINT TO THANK GOD DAILY AND WATCH YOUR LIFE CHANGE!!!!
Thanksgiving is a holy day! It isn’t that holy people “call” it that; it actually is or at least that is the intention!
We should wake up with God on our minds…giving thanks to “He who sits on the throne and unto the Lamb!”
Think about it,,,,why would you want to give thanks for 2,000 or more calories when it’s likely to be very unhealthy for you. So ask yourself why it is that we call it Thanksgiving? Let’s roll it back…
It was originally only a religious holiday to celebrate thanks for the harvest. Of course, it was borrowed by the secular world. There seems to be this undercurrent that “people” can be just grateful without being grateful to anyone in particular! That is so ridiculous!
I just heard it on the radio yesterday.
Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States, Canada, The Netherlands and Grenada. If you didn’t know all that, you’re not alone; I didn’t.
Even though the secular world does not in all cases consider it a religious holiday; they don’t touch it because it is a tradition set forth by the forefathers of our nation. It is not only holy; but also a national tradition!
Please remember that no matter what it is no coincidence that Thanksgiving is purely biblical!
1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:35
Cry out, “Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise.”
1 Chronicles 29:13
Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.
“I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU LORD!!!
