Here I was in the middle of a stadium of Muslims on their Special day. God was doing something…it’s a long story. I was way up in the bleachers but I heard the speaker loud and clear. He yelled:
” If there is a real Christian in the room stand up!” Even though there was an air of intimidation in the room…I jumped to my feet. It was obvious that I wasn’t the only Christian there; yet I didn’t see many if anybody else standing…at least not near me. Not even the “not very smart” ministers who had identified themselves as Christians (who were up on the stage with the speaker) stood up. Okay, no judging. I didn’t know them. But, still I was appalled and angry!
“Why am I even here?” I thought at the time and then I repented because I trusted that God knew what He was doing. In that environment …my husband decided to give his heart to Jesus. I don’t think this was the aim they were going for…but that’s what happened!
I made a huge error this evening. In my efforts to get my posts up as quickly as possible. I did the unthinkable. I posted three videos that I didn’t view or listen too. That will not happen again. The titles sounded good but the videos, the lyrics or something in them were not of God. The first one actually got by me. It sounded like an innocent Christmas carol by respected Christian singers. So what happened? My guess without singling them out was that they decided to make a compromise.
I cannot do that, they cannot do that and you cannot do that. As I carefully removed their video which was pointed out to me by a reader with a good eye and a good heart for the things of God…I got a check in my spirit. This caused me to take a second look at another video that I had posted on another of my sites. This particular video was being sung by two celebrities that we all know and love. However, I had noted something on the video that I had let pass. I went back to it and I realized that I cannot compromise, so I removed it.
Today, I saw a famous singer with a new tatoo and I began to pray.
Here’s my point…we do live in this world but we are set apart. It’s not just talk and we can’t act like they do…we can’t dress like they do and we can’t think like they do. As a faith blogger for God…I will stand for Him. Popularity means nothing to me. I will be held accountable for my words and actions. My words are actionable.
I urge you to examine yourself and your standing with God. Look at yourself. Do you line up with the word in all that you do? If not, how will you explain this to God. He is not sending us into the world undercover. We are the “salt of the earth.” “We are the light of the world!” That’s who we are!
Take a stand for Jesus. Do not compromise. Be a woman, a girl, a guy, a man after God’s own heart! I know that you will. Despite the circumstances…do the right thing!
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
