Where Is The Kingdom of God?
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17: 21
No revelation can help you until you get it. That certainly applies to me. This kingdom of God revelation is vital to every believer and I’ll tell you why. When Jesus preached he preached about the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. He used those words interchangeably. There was a reason. He wanted us to regard them, understand them and receive them.
Jesus called us here to be ambassadors; but many have assimilated into a “hostile” culture that we don’t want to leave!
THAT’S A FACT!!!
It was amazing that when he preached about the kingdom of God; healing followed!
Matthew 4:23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
Matthew 9:35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
Matthew 10:7-8 As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
You see, there is no sickness in heaven, no diseases…if the kingdom of heaven is in you…WELL THAT’S GOOD NEWS!
But, that’s not what I wanted to talk about. I want to talk about when “we” tell people about God. When we bring them to salvation…I think there needs to be some early reconstruction.
You see, too often we focus on what they need. That’s good. But, sometimes I wonder if we disarm and disable new converts by encouraging them to focus on their problems hoping they’ll slowly realize the importance of what God wants?
You see God has called us out of darkness into the kingdom of light and we must help to usher others out of darkness to fight this war! After all, their eternity is at stake!
