MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. LED US OUT! January, 2011

I Have A Dream!

Today we have an opportunity to remember the past.  To remember the storm that God brought us through. To remember the Civil rights movement.  God used an ordinary man…a man of God to lead us out of harm’s way as a people regardless of your creed or race or color and as a nation.  God id it in an unusual way!  THIS IS A FACT!!!

I honor Dr. Martin Luther King because I believe that he was a man sent by God who through obedience and love ultimately changed the course of my life and many others irregardless of race, religion or creed in this country and ultimately around the world… for generations.

Eyes of Faith by Elaine Davenport January 3, 2011

The most beautiful eyes that I ever saw…were eyes of faith.  I did not see them with my own two eyes…I saw them with my heart!  I hope that you’ve seen them too.

God can see them immediately!

Faith is something that is made real just by the power of believing or knowing the power and the will of God Almighty… the more you hear it…the stronger it becomes…Faith  must initially be  in your heart and not in your head…Faith must be put in a vision…if the heart can believe it…the mind can see it…

Just walk up to someone and ask them what are the signs of faith. You will get a myriad of answers and only a few of them will be convincing. It’s not because people don’t know. It’s because no one really ever thought about it that way!

Faith is one of the simplest things; yet people make it complicated. There’s a whole lot of faith on the receiving end or the back end, but on the front end…there’s usually not as much.

Unshaken by Elaine Davenport January 2, 2011

Heavenly Father, I have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19) I will not cast away my confidence in you regarding this situation that I face or am enduring because I KNOW that it hath great recompense of reward). (Hebrew 10: 35) I am the just and I live by faith. (Hebrews 10: 38)

I will fight the good fight of faith. Thereby I will lay hold on the eternal life that I have been called to and I will continue to profess a good profession before many witnesses. (1Timothy 6: 12) I thank you Father that Your hand is upon and on this situation that I face. I thank You that You are God and that You are able to make all grace abound toward me that I ALWAYS have all sufficiency in ALL things and that I may abound
(be plentiful, thrive and flourish) to every good work! (2 Corinthians 8: 8)
Thank you Father for being the God of all comfort. (2 Corinthians 1: 3)

I thank you that You comfort me in all of my tribulation. (2 Corinthians 1: 4) My faith is in Your power. (1 Corinthians 2: 5) I have the God kind of faith. (Mark 11: 22) If a problem is in front of me or hindering me; it is a MOUNTAIN! Therefore, I “say” unto the mountain in front of me: BE THOU REMOVED _______________ (speak whatever it is) AND BE THOU CAST INTO THE SEA. (Mark 11: 23) Because I believe and have NO DOUBT in my heart; I will have what I say. God’s Word says so and I BELIEVE GOD. In Jesus Name, AMEN

Get Even! by Martin Cisneros, Guest Writer January 1, 2011

2 Samuel 19:31-33

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim and went across the Jordan with the king, to escort him across the Jordan. Now Barzillai was a very aged man, eighty years old. And he had provided the king with supplies while he stayed at Mahanaim, for he was a very rich man. And the king said to Barzillai, “Come across with me, and I will provide for you while you are with me in Jerusalem.”

Get Even

There are times when it’s entirely appropriate to get even with someone, however, NOT with those you think have wronged you, BUT with those you know who have helped you. David practiced this kind of “getting even” with Barzillai.

When the king fled from his son Absalom, he had been unable to gather the supplies needed to support himself and his followers in the wilderness. Hearing of this, a Gileadite from Rogelim named Barzillai and his friends brought “beds and basins, earthen vessels and wheat, barley and flour, parched grain and beans, lentils and parched seeds, honey and curds, sheep and cheese of the herd, for David and the people who were with him to eat. For they said, ‘The people are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness'” (2 Sam. 17:28-29). When the crisis was over and David was ready to return, his first desire was to “get even” with such kindness. He offered Barzillai the opportunity to feast at the king’s table for as long as he was in Jerusalem.

What an impact we Christians would have for good in this world if we tried to get even with those who have been kind to us. Instead of taking for granted the blessings God brings to you through other people, seek a way to return that kindness with kindness. That’s the kind of vengeance God approves of.

Have you been blessed today? Then get even. And if you can’t get even with the one who blessed you, pass the blessing on to someone else.

Get even with someone today–God’s way.
