Holy Ghost Party! October 30, 2012

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come , they were all with one accord in one place.   And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting .  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.   And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance .  And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.  ACTS 2:  1-5

Why don’t you plan a party for just you and the Holy Spirit?   Better yet, invite some friends.  Be certain to invite The Holy Spirit!  It will be Blessed!   Spend some time with Him today.

Saying: ” In Jesus Name” by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012

There are people who say this as though they are putting a stamp on a letter.  That is sad; it’s so much more than that.  That’s religion.  There is power in the Name of Jesus!   You better know this.  If you say it; and start crying, worrying, fretting etc. then you DO NOT BELIEVE IT!  You are in unbelief and I love you but I pray that you will get in faith!   You have to KNOW that God is enabling you to have your victory!  It’s proof that you already have it!  When Jesus spoke MIRACLES HAPPENED, people received BREAKTHROUGH, mountains moved,  just make a list.  There was NEVER a time that NOTHING happened; so why should NOTHING happen for you when he gave you permission to use HIS NAME!!!  God has Mighty Power…won’t you grab ahold of it!   Take your rightful authority!   God gave you Dominion!   So why aren’t you taking charge?  Get up and get busy folks!

I have seen prayers answered,   I am talking about prayer answers from prayers that I have been involved in.  I do not keep score.  I believe that every prayer of faith in accordance with God’s will…are going to be fully answered!  It does not matter what the request is.  It does not matter how impossible it might be.  It is never myself or any other person doing the work it’s God.

I end all of my prayers with the words:  “In Jesus Name.”  I do it because Jesus told us to do this.

John 15: 16  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

New International Version (©1984)
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.New Living Translation (©2007)
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.

English Standard Version (©2001)
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Philippians 2:10,11 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.”

When you follow this instruction; at that very moment that you say it:  the power of God is released right then!   But, do not waste His name and say it in vain!

The Oil Of The Holy Spirit! by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012

THE DOCTOR SAID HE THOUGHT I HAD A BRAIN TUMOR!    There are so many different types…most will mightily alter your life or end it.

I really did not know that much about Psalm 23 at the time.   I had only said it at funerals.   But, they had stuck me in this capsule while they were on their search  and destroy/rescue mission.  Well, I was fighting the voices telling me not to have the surgery and the fact that I did not like being in that capsule.  All of a sudden I start chanting Psalm 23.   A great peace came over me.

They found a tumor…I had a stroke in the surgery…my recovery should have never come…but it did..but God wasn’t through yet…

Psalm 23 helped to change the course of my life.  When I read it; Iget strength and have courage and I receive great comfort!

I love the part that says He maketh me to lie in front of my enemies, He anoints my head with oil, my cup runneth over…surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…

I take that to say that when I face my enemies…the Holy Spirit is covering me and there is no reason whatsoever for me to be afraid.  God sees things long before they happen and though it is new to us…God has already prepared.  So stand in faith and get before Him for your instructions on what to do.  So many people miss this all the time…they have religion.  Yet, they do not have the understanding.    Please read carefully below how God anoints His sheep with the Holy Spirit.

Psalm of David.   PSALM 23  (Amplified Bible)

The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Footnotes:

  1. Psalm 23:5 It is difficult for those living in a temperate climate to appreciate, but it was customary in hot climates to anoint the body with oil to protect it from excessive perspiration. When mixed with perfume, the oil imparted a delightfully refreshing and invigorating sensation. Athletes anointed their bodies as a matter of course before running a race. As the body, therefore, anointed with oil was refreshed, invigorated, and better fitted for action, so the Lord would anoint His “sheep” with the Holy Spirit, Whom oil symbolizes, to fit them to engage more freely in His service and run in the way He directs—in heavenly fellowship with Him.  (Author Unknown)

Needing God’s Justice! by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012

Everyday I hear stories or receive prayers from everyday people like you and I who face unfairness and injustice.  Crazy, stupid, way out stuff.  Sometimes it happens to me…sometimes it looks impossible.  It usually involes some John 10: 10.

John 10:10

New International Version (NIV)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

The thief…Satan…is always behind the dumb stuff.   In that case, we do not need a pity party, we need to get before God and pray.  Now, I have nothing against asking others to pray for me.  I love a Prayer Of Agreement.  Yet…there is something immense about getting before God and waiting for the answer to unfold trusting Him.  God always has a plan.  I heard a minister friend of mine say:  “It’s like Chess and God is ALWAYS waiting to put the devil in checkmate.”  That’s good.  It’s true too.

Let me go get my popcorn because I want to be ready to see the devil get his next whooping!

If you know me…you know I’m not playing!

Leviticus 19:15
‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

Deuteronomy 16:20
Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Deuteronomy 27:19
“Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless or the widow.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

Job 37:23
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.

Psalm 33:5
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Psalm 106:3
Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.

Psalm 140:12
I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

Proverbs 28:5
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.

Proverbs 29:7
The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.

Isaiah 10:1-2
Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.

Why Do You Fret? by Lanie Davvy October 30, 2012

There is nothing that I can do to stop you from fretting every time that a problem  arises.  I wish that I could but I know someone who can.    He is God , the head of the Holy Trinity…Father, Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit

He said in the bible:  Romans 10: 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.   That means that the more you hear the Word …the more you are going to sharpen, grow, increase, preserve your faith.  It’s kind of like exercise…you build yourself up.

Something is going to happen to someone around you…maybe even to you…but your faith will carry you through it.  I do not want it to happen; but that’s the kind of world that we live in.  We have an enemy that wants to “devour” us.  He tries every strategy, trick scheme, crooked plan, wicked surprise that he can…his name is Satan…and if anyone told you that he does not exist…they lied!

So, if you have a situation that seems hopeless…or just isn’t right; know right now…there is hope.  Dig out your bible, open it and read it and afterwards get on your knees.  You will be led to Wisdom. Grace and Peace.   Now your job is NOT to resist any of this because your flesh keeps looking at the circumstances.   In the meantime, get strong , do not fret…(that won’t help) , receive the Father’s love and let’s move this enemy out of the way!  I love you and I will be praying for you!  Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
(NKJV)

Joshua 1:3-9
I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you … No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
(NLT)

1 Chronicles 28:20
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
(NIV)

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
(NKJV)

Psalm 56:3-4
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
(NIV)

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(NIV)

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
(NIV)

Isaiah 54:4
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
(NKJV)

Matthew 10:26
Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
(NKJV)

Matthew 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
(NKJV)

God Hears Your Cry! by Elaine Davenport October 29, 2012

It was years ago yet it seems like yesterday.  I had a job but I did not understand how to do it.  We were like cattle there; they just threw you into the trenches…you had to fend for yourself and learn to survive.

I was doing a very poor job, and everyday I went to my supervisor for help.  “Please help…” and so forth…I said everyday.  The response was the same thing; basically  :No.”

I was not performing and I needed supernatural help.  The only problem was that I did not know it.  Ugh…so I decided to go on a medical.  (It never happened, but that was my plan…I was getting stressed from the pressure at that time.)  I met this lady who pointed me to Psalms 34 and I began to meditate in it daily and things changed before my eyes…I even met my husband …

You must understand that I was desperate and in despair…

I prayed daily several times with an earnest heart…

The final result:  I got a transfer and promotion.  Before it happened, someone came and took all of my work and did it for me.  I learned the job and became on of the best employees they ever had.  That’s a fact.

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Now, in the Bible…you will find God…waiting for you to help you.  There is no greater shortcut to really understand the heart of God.

1Chr 5:20 For they cried to the God in the battle, and He was entreated of them; because they put their trust in Him.

Ps 3:4 I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill.

Ps 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.

:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.

Ps 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

:6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

:15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.

:17 The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Ps 50:15 And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

Ps 55:16,17 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.

Ps 56:9 When I cry to you, then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

Ps 57:2,3 I will cry to God most high; to God that performs all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that will swallow me up.

Ps 66:20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

Ps 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You: for You will answer me.

Ps 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him.

Ps 107:6 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.

Ps 118:5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

Your Faith Is Your Answer! by E. Davenport October 27, 2012

You have a need to get an answer.  It is done as long as you have gone before God in faith which is believing He can make it happen.  The good news is He can.  The bad news is that the forces of hell will try to convince you that the situation is hopeless!   DON’T FALL FOR THAT!

I talk with people all over the world and I’ve been able to never categorize people’s faith.  You just can’t tell by where a person lives or for that matter goes to church.   So often, it doesn’t even matter what profession people are in.  For many faith people have faith for others and on certain occasions, if one is not careful…one can become convinced that their own personal circumstance is the exception!  It isn’t that is a fact.

You have to first know that the Father loves you.  I’ve heard a lot of people reject this and some of them are in leadership positions.  It’s possible…probable that because of this…they may not teach on it and masses of people may not realize this.

THIS TEACHING IS CRITICAL!   You see, unless we know how much the Father loves us…we won’t know that if we don’t give up and hold on to our believing…we can have what we need!  You see it was DONE the minute we asked for it…but we wait for it to be seen.

Faith is believing that God the Creator of the universe who left us an instruction manual on how to live this life (the Bible) meant everything that He said in the Book Of Promises…(the Bible).   That’s step one.  God promises that nothing is impossible.  That He will deliver you from the hands of the destroyer…that He has delivered you from the power of darkness…nut the hardest part of faith is for people to BELIEVE that this is true.  And that is only part of the story.

The answer has been given to you.  God has told you what to do.  The bible says don’t hear the word alone.  That is not enough.  You have to do what it says.  It says:  Believe it.  It says:  Speak it over yourself.  It says:  Meditate upon it.  It says: Praise God.  It says:  Don’t stop praying.  IT says:  Be patient.  It says a lot, but you will never know if you do not seek the answers.  They all point to the cross!   I know it!

Hebrews 11:1

King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Luke 17:6

6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like  mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.

Mark 5:34

34 And He said to her, “Daughter, ayour faith has 1made you well; bgo in peace and be healed of your caffliction.”

20 And He * said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, aif you have faith 1the size of ba mustard seed, you will say to cthis mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and dnothing will be impossible to you.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5: 7(NKJV)

And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5: 15

This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Galatians 3: 2(NKJV)

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10: 17(NKJV)

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 5

Psalms 40:1-3

I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him.

Psalms 34:17-19

Yes, the Lord hears the good man when he calls to Him for help, and saves him out of all his troubles. The Lord is close to those whose heart is breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles – he has them, too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one.

Psalms 32:7-9

You are my hiding place from every storm of life; You even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory. I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress. Don’t be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!
