2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 220,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 4 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

Happy Birthday Jesus! December 25, 2012

Luke  2; 9-12

And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. “And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger.”

Tomorrow the world celebrates Christmas!   People will eat, some will dance,  some will exchange gifts….many will treat it like a special day…but many will not understand. ……they’ll think it is a time to  rest and visit friends and after all of the comraderie they may think:  “Mission Accomplished!”

However, that is a fraction of what it should be like.  You see tomorrow is a day to express our gratitude and one day we’ll KNOW it…one day we’ll readily SHOW it!   It won’t be a one minute blurb before dinner but some real PRAISE…the kind given when the WORLD SERIES IS WON!   You see…Jesus won the World Series against the Deviliers (that’s what I call them) and he whooped them, made a show of them and now sits at the right hand of The Father where he lives to intercede on our behalf.

Please do not forget…Christmas represents God’s total love for us!   Jesus gave his life that we might live eternally.  It’s not a thought…it’s a truth!   It’s the truth of our foundation, our faith, our lives!

Faith Is Simple Not Complicated By Elaine Davenport December, 2012

Candlelights

Lots of people panic when a problem arises…they sort of say:  “I never exppected this to happen.”  Well, the truth is …things are going to happen…but help is available.  Our faith journey is a journey that we must take for victory.

Faith has a supernatural component.  When there’s a problem, we are assured of a solution by our faith.  Faith is an experience of  a sure heart. That heart knows God and that He is the Master of all!     Faith says here God I am and I need You to step in and take this and I believe right now it’s done…no doubt about it.    It’s not a complicated math problem.  Ask God to show you how to increase your faith for that day when you will need it or to help some others.

Faith is a wonderful thing for those who understand it.  And let me tell you that it has been understood for hundreds of years.  The word “faith” appears in the bible 3, 215 times in the King James Bible.  It is the very fiber of our core; that is for believers.   God says it’s very simple, he says every man has been given faith.

Even non believers have faith in things or in people; until proven otherwise.  But, as believers our daily instructions, wisdom, solutions and strength are all found in the bible.  We have faith in God and His promises.  Every scripture is truth.  The bible contains so many promises and I am not certain just how many they are; I just know they are powerful and all true!

Every scripture in the bible is true.  We are not reading one of  Shakespeare’s novels;  full of fiction and imaginations.  It’s not the same.  It is not a dead book.

We were promised a Savior; and He came.  Even before Jesus went to the cross, He told us.  And that could have been the end of it.   But, it wasn’t.  He empowered us, told how to pray and left us the Holy Spirit to comfort and help us.  We are not powerless…because every single word in the bible is true.

We have the Word of God…it’s powerful, we just have to have an expectant hard!   Be assured…every scripture is true.

So the next time, you hear a voice that tells you that things are bad…pull out your bible and look for some faith scriptures.  Here are a few that will help you.

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

2 Corinthians 5:6-7 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Ephesians 6:16 (KJV) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Matthew 8:26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. (Jesus speaking to His Apostles)Matthew 14:29-31 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Jesus Speaking)

Now, this is a scripture that will really help you:

“Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees, And looks to God alone; Laughs at impossibilities, And cries it shall be done.” ~ Charles Wesley

Use these scriptures…read them daily…they will become stringer in your heart and in your spirit!

Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak. 2 Corinthians 4: 13
