The Devil Says: “Give Up!” by Gene McGuire January 28, 2012

“. . . .the proving of your faith works [employs] patience…” (James 1:3 The Interlinear Hebrew, Greek, English Bible)
COMMENT: When we are believing God for any of His promises, it would be to our advantage to employ the twin spiritual  forces that will insure victory: faith and patience. Without patience, people have a tendency to give up right when they are on the brink of victory. It is true in the natural as well as the spiritual. During America’s “gold rush”, I heard about a prospector who had labored long and hard to find that precious metal; he finally gave up and sold his stake. It wasn’t but a few days later when the new owner struck it rich. Spiritually speaking, the devil comes to tell us that “nothing’s happening”; he wants us to give up. When you plant a flower seed, you don’t see any activity above ground for a long time, but there is plenty of activity going on below the surface. If you continue to water it and give it sunshine, you’ll soon see the glorious promise blossomed forth. God’s law of seed, time and harvest never fails.

Faith And Prayer For Others! by Elaine Davenport January 7, 2011

It shouldn’t be hard to pray for people other than ourselves and our families (or even helping them); but for most people it is a challenge.  When I first became really interested in prayer…I admit that I did it for me and the people that I knew.  Well, everyday someone CALLED OR ASKED ME TO ADD A NAME.  I finally had to go out and buy a large Prayer Notebook…but soon I found myself writing along the sides of the pages.  Then, I needed another and another…

I soon began to write letters to people to encourage them to pray and the list got larger and larger.  I joined a prayer team and that is when I truly felt that “we” were not overwhelmed and were truly making a huge impact; but I realized it was only because my understanding and my level of faith changed.

The true Wisdom was that God honors prayer and of course…my personal prayer is that more people will begin to have a prayer life!   You see, God doesn’y care if it’s just one person or a room full of people praying…He truly honors prayer!

But, if you really want to get breakthrough….start seeking Him out and ask Him to show you how to pray for others!   The discovery is life altering!  C’mon and join the ranks!    Please note that at this site we pray for every prayer request, every guest, every visitor, every time that you stop by.  All of the credit goes to God…it’s His idea…that you be covered!!!

Eyes of Faith by Elaine Davenport January 3, 2011

The most beautiful eyes that I ever saw…were eyes of faith.  I did not see them with my own two eyes…I saw them with my heart!  I hope that you’ve seen them too.

God can see them immediately!

Faith is something that is made real just by the power of believing or knowing the power and the will of God Almighty… the more you hear it…the stronger it becomes…Faith  must initially be  in your heart and not in your head…Faith must be put in a vision…if the heart can believe it…the mind can see it…

Just walk up to someone and ask them what are the signs of faith. You will get a myriad of answers and only a few of them will be convincing. It’s not because people don’t know. It’s because no one really ever thought about it that way!

Faith is one of the simplest things; yet people make it complicated. There’s a whole lot of faith on the receiving end or the back end, but on the front end…there’s usually not as much.
